Dear Sir

I'm not sure who is running the science side of things at 
Intersection, but I'd like to volunteer my services. I've 
not been to a SF convention before, so am not quite sure 
what I'm letting myself in for, but I've signed up anyway. 
I'm a professional geologist with an amateur interest in 
mining on Mars, and I've given a talk on the subject to 
various groups over the years. Would you like to hear it at 
the convention?
