Membership types
Attending
Attending members are the usual, full memberships. With an attending membership, you get full access to all of the programme items and spaces within the convention, for the full duration of the convention. Attending memberships are only available for adults.
Unwaged
Unwaged memberships are for students, senior citizens, and people on benefit (e.g. disabled and/or unemployed). You get full access to all the programme items and programme spaces of the convention, for the duration of the convention. Unwaged memberships are only available for adults. We reserve the right to ask for proof of status when you arrive at the convention, so please bring your student card, etc. with you.
Supporting
Supporting memberships enable you to help the convention (by giving us money!) while spreading the cost of your membership somewhat. Supporting memberships are cheaper than Attending memberships, because they do not actually allow you to attend the convention. But the point of a Supporting membership is that you can upgrade it into an Attending membership at any time; when you do so, you pay the difference between Supporting and Attending memberships at the time of the conversion.
Junior
Junior memberships are for children who will be between twelve and seventeen years of age, inclusive, on the day the convention starts (6th April 2012). Junior memberships apply for the full duration of the convention.
Child
Child memberships are for children who will be between five and eleven years of age, inclusive, on the day the convention starts (6th April 2012). Child memberships apply for the full duration of the convention.
Infant
Infant memberships are for children who will be less than five years of age, on the day the convention starts (6th April 2012). Infant memberships apply for the full duration of the convention.
Apocryphal (toy)
Apocryphal memberships are for your hand-puppets, plush Cthulhus, and just about any other toy you might choose to bring, and for which you'd like a separate membership badge. Obviously, these memberships last for the duration of the convention, and allow access to the full convention areas, etc... We have two rules, though:
- Only one apocryphal membership per genuine human member;
- No apocryphal memberships on the door - all apocryphals must be registered in advance.
Beeblebears
Beeblebear memberships are for Beeblebears. They're like any other Apocryphal membership, except that they cost more. Why? Well, because of the extra arm and head...
Other membership issues
Daily rates
Daily rates allow you to book in advance, but just for individual days if you can't attend for the whole of the convention. We will be announcing daily rates at a future time.
On the door
On the door membership will be available, for those of you who can't book ahead. We do recommend booking ahead if possible, though: it's cheaper, and it helps us plan the convention.
Dealers
We don't offer a separate membership type for dealers - dealers join with a full membership.
