Advertising in Loncon 3 Publications

We’re expecting that at least 5,000 people will be attending Loncon 3 – including readers, writers, artists, publishers, editors, costumers, gamers, and other genre enthusiasts from all walks of life. There will be significant numbers of attendees based in the United Kingdom, the rest of Europe, the United States and Canada – and representation from countries in the Middle and Far East as well as Australia and New Zealand.

Loncon 3’s publications provide a great opportunity for advertisers to reach an audience of highly committed and well-connected science fiction and fantasy fans.

These web pages deal primarily with advertising in our Progress Reports and Souvenir Book. There are also other publications which offer advertising through sponsorship opportunities and are described further here. For any additional form of advertising such as inserts, CD or DVDs, contact us for a quote.

Advertiser Classes

• Pro – The professional rate applies to all commercial, for-profit organizations employing full time staff.
• Semi-Pro – The semi-pro rate applies to businesses run part-time by their owner, small press publishers, charities and other groups promoting WSFS’s interests in literacy and science education.
• Fan – The fan rate applies to all non-profit organisations with no salaried staff: fan-run conventions, clubs and fanzines.

Deadlines

It is imperative that our deadlines are met. Wherever possible, please provide us with your copy two weeks in advance of the stated deadline so we will have a buffer zone to work with you in case there is a problem.

Failure to pay by the deadline means that your ad will not be run in the publication.

Payment Information and Terms

Ad rates depend on international exchange rates and are subject to change depending on the financial exchange market.

Payment can be made by cash (sterling), UK cheque, US check, bank transfer (IBAN or BIC) or WorldPay. Please contact us to make appropriate arrangements, including payment on invoice.

All images included in any ads must have the right to copy and distribute. Loncon 3 will not be held responsible for copyright infringement.
